Does anyone else....

Does anyone else have a couch that looks like this on a daily basis?
Because this is so much more fun...
then playing with the many toys we have in the playroom...
today I am thankful that I am ok with my kids making a mess....
 because these smiles...
are worth so much than a perfect couch...
 or a perfect house...
 these smiles make me smile!
What a blessing it is to stay home...
clean up their messes...
 build forts...
and watch these two love each other
and sometimes get hurt...
Micah is on the other side of that pillow in the air...
one of many reasons she is one tough little girl!

Trick or Treat...

Oh my has my perspective on Halloween and trick or treating has changed. We had so much fun! Mason was so excited all day, and just couldn't wait to dress up again as Anakin. We had dinner at the Harper's, and trick or treated around Herff Ranch. To much of our surprise, Micah kept her hat on the entire time, and had lots of comments on her costume. Next year Mason said he was going to be a hotdog with a bun, Micah the bottle of Ketchup (because of her red hair), and baby can be the mustard. Ha! We will see! He said he can't wait to go again.

I just love these two...Mason was so sweet to his Micah!

Micah's first trick or treating experience... they gave her candy and she tried to give them her basket. They wouldn't take it so she just set it on the ground.

She was content with this one piece of candy until she saw a lollipop.
Micah was too funny....she would walk around eating her lollipop until she was tired of it. She would hand it to me, walk up to another house, and look through their candy bowl until she found another lollipop she wanted.  Good thing she looked so cute...she repeated the process about 5 times.
 One happy girl..
Mason enjoyed running up and saying "Trick or Treat". In Herff Ranch, everyone is just hanging out on their lawns so they don't have to go up and ring the doorbell. A really fun atmosphere.

The Harpers'...thanks for  a fun night! We always love being able to spend time with them!

Pumpkin Painting...

Two of my kids favorite things...painting and pumpkins. We went to Walmart one day after school, and we all picked out two colors we wanted to paint our pumpkins....yes, even Micah. This was her first experience with glitter and she just loved to shake the bottle. I always enjoy opportunities to let them be creative!

Concrete, body, pumpkin...same thing in the eyes of a one year old...
 Orange on orange....are you surprised?

He never passes up the opportunity to clean up with water...
