Everything Orange...

My sweet boy is growing up. He sleeps in a big boy bed, came back from a weekend in Burleson with Drew saying mom not mommy, said " Are you serious?" in a conversation, today went upstairs, shut the door and got into bed to take a nap all by himself without me telling him to do so, is finally ready to be potty trained ( I think), wanted to buy his teacher flowers all by himself without my prompting, gave the receptionist at church a picture he colored, and figured out if he doesn't tell on himself about what happens on the playground mommy and daddy don't know! And tells everyone he talks to that he is turning 3 on March 7:-)

A couple of weeks ago I painted his room within a 12 hour window. As you know, he LOVES everything orange so why not paint his room with a little orange. When we were done, I wanted this room. I was going to wait to post pictures when it was completely done, but wanted to document a big boy milestone. This is Mason his first night in his big boy bed. He also likes to tell everyone that he painted his room orange and gray.
He wanted the alphabet on the wall which will go where the orange stripe is. I ordered a really neat decal to put up. Can't wait to finish it!

There is a yogurt place right down the road from us called Orange Leaf. Mason thinks it was made for him since everything is orange. It is such a fun family outing. I just love watching him. He knows exactly what he wants... pineapple icecream, with little juice balls and sprinkles. He then sits at a "Daddy and Mason" table and Micah and Mommy have to sit at another table. It is so fun to watch them interact. He eats all of his ice cream and then says, "Daddy can I try some of yours?" He takes Craig's ice cream, and gives him his. His has nothing in it.

Basketball photo shoot...

I will start by saying there are a lot of other things I need to be doing, like editing a fabulous wedding or finishing my bible study for tomorrow, but I just couldn't help but edit these pictures.

I have wanted to do this photo shoot for a long time, and it was just a beautiful day. I never take pictures right in the middle of the day, but why not? The lighting was awful and direct, yet there are some shots I love. Mason, Micah, and I went back later in the afternoon to do a couple of more. Mason is the best at making Micah laugh. Enjoy my sweet little basketball player... you can see why I couldn't wait to edit them:-) and yes, 34 was my number!

Eating leaves and sticks was much more fun than playing with the basketball.
Mason kept saying cheese... he wanted his picture taken too!

They were watching someone who started shooting some baskets. So sweet to watch!
And one of the best for last... the aggressive look! Maybe a little competitive like her mommy...

10 months...

Micah is 10 months... and still no teeth! Crazy, yet one is breaking through. She is still our very happy girl. One of her favorite things is to "chase" (crawl) Mason around the house. He runs in circles pushing his recycle truck and she just laughs and crawls after him as fast as she can.

She is in a size 4 diapers, her favorite foods are bananas, avocados, and yogurt. She loves to eat finger foods but is limited since we don't have teeth yet. She loves to watch Praise Babies, play in the play house, and "dances" every time she hears music. I pray our sweet girl never stops dancing to the music! I just love this sweet girl to piecies.

I had fun editing some pictures of her in the house. They are all different.... amazing what you can do in Photoshop Lightroom.

Look at all that hair coming in, and with some body and curls. Hard to believe with all the straight hair that runs in our families.

 Mason where are you...

Standing...

How is our baby girl already standing? Today I was doing something, looked up, and she was standing up looking for a book. Our little girl is growing up way to fast! Love these expressions!

So just the other day I said that Micah is all over the place, but doesn't try to go up the stairs. Today she proved me wrong. She was trying to follow big brother.

On a side note, I am not a big fan of Micah running around in just a diaper, but this girl loves not having clothes on. Whereas my Mason is completely the opposite. It even bothers him when Micah doesn't have clothes on. He kept saying "Mommy Micah needs her pajamas on." or "Mommy Micah wants her jammies."

I know... crazy boy! I am glad Micah was out of the way.
