Valuable Lesson....

I learned a valuable lesson in parenting yesterday. If you don't want a behavior repeated, don't laugh at it! Mason was eating his cereal and he started trying to blow bubbles and spitting his cereal every where. I thought it was hilarious as he had the biggest grin on his face. Of coarse I laughed, and that was the end of it. He continued to do it until finally I decided dinner was over. These were too cute not to post. Luckily he forgot about yesterday and ate great tonight. He is just one happy boy! We are so blessed.

At Home...

It has been so miserably hot that we have spent a lot of time indoors. However, the 90's this week has been a great relief from the 105's we have had. Here are a couple of Mason in his activity center which is his favorite thing. He loves his little "chuncky monkey" as we call it. In these pictures he managed to grab it down and roll over with it in his hands. I was impressed!

He loves all the colors on the bottom of the mat.
He could do this for hours.

I looked down to see if I had any good pictures and when I looked up this was Mason. He rolls over every chance he gets.
Mason with Aiden, our good friend Sarah's nephew. He was trying to get Mason to smile. Adorable!
I came home from running some errands to find my boys reading the latest issue of American Rifleman. I guess daddy is teaching him early!

On special days when mommy is very tired Mason and I will take a nap together in our room. He looked so sweet I couldn't resist a picture.

Swimming...

This is the last of my "at home" post. Mason went swimming for the first time at my parents house which is where Jarrod and I learned to swim. GiGi bought him the cutest crab float, and I added the camo sunglasses and hat. Mason was so relaxed and chilled. I am thinking he is going to be one laid back little boy!
Mason and Aunt Jamie... we were excited she was able to join us for his first swim. Craig was in California and missed it:-(.

Before we went swimming, Mason was laughing at the dogs.

Mason and Addie...

While we were at home, Mason finally got to meet Addie. She is 10 days older than Mason, and her dad, Brian, grew up with us and was one of Craig's best friends. It was so fun to see them with their kids... they are both so good with them.

Brian went to Texas which explains the longhorn outfit, and Amanda went to A&M which is why she changes clothes. Enjoy thier cute expressions and yes, they are even holding hands.

"Mason does your mom always take this many pictures?"

"I like yours better!"

How cute!

4 months...

We had Mason's four month appointment on Monday. He was 16 pounds and 3 oz and 25.5 inches long. Both were in the 75th percentile. Everything looked great, except that the doctor said he has very sensitive skin. No surprise... he said he would never be the Coppertone Baby. He definitely has my skin tone.
He started eating cereal and he doesn't really care for it. He would rather eat his fingers, but I understand that will change. Here are a couple from our first eating experience.
Mason loves his jumperoo!
I love this smile! He smiles for the camera now. I am so excited!!!

Pray for Zoe and Kate...

This doesn't have much to do with Mason except for the fact as being a mom I can't imagine my little boy being having cancer. I can't keep these adorable little girls and their families off my mind.

Mandy, one of my friends that I played basketball with for Athletes in Action, had a precious little girl 3 weeks after Mason was born. Zoe was born with cancer in her adrenal gland. They did surgery to remove the cancer and just a couple of days later all the test came back and said she was cancer free. However, a check up 6 weeks later said she had a cancerous tumor in her liver. She is currently undergoing her 4th chemo treatment and has a scan on July 22nd. Please pray that the cancer is gone and little Zoe is healed. Here is a picture of Zoe and a link to her website if you want to read more about her story.

Mandy lives in Phoenix, and one of her dear friends, Holly, was organizing meals, groceries, and cleaning to help Mandy and Aaron as they go through Zoe's chemo. Two weeks ago, Holly's daughter Kate had hand tremors that turned out to be an aggressive, malignant brain tumor. She has already had surgery and will start a very intense form of chemo in LA. There life has been turned upside down and they have a long road ahead of them. They are asking that everyone prays for a miracle and that Kate would be healed. Here is Kate and a link to her website as well!

Thanks for letting me share my heart, and joining thousands in praying for these precious little angels!

Lil' Dozer...

Jarrod, my brother, has a dog named Dozer who is basically his child ( named after a bull dozer). I was at the outlet mall and I saw this outfit that had a bull dozer and said Lil' Dozer. I couldn't resist. I was going to take Mason's 4 month pictures at Jarrod's house on the lake, and the outfit made them even better. We even have a couple with Mason and Dozer together!
