Dorothy and Frank Hardy...

The kids had a Character Book Parade at school and I think this was one of my favorite assemblies. Micah as Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz and Mason was Frank Hardy from the Hardy Boys. They also did a poster contest and Micah got 2nd place out of all of Kinder, 1st and 2nd graders. She was so excited!!!

Each kid said who they were and from what book.

Happy New Year...

Micah is always looking for a reason to have a party. So on January 1st she wanted to have a Happy New Year party. So just as the Semifinal football playoffs started, Micah begged me to go to HEB to get some decorations for her family party. So I did...

These first pictures are fun on the lite brights they got for Christmas...

 The table Micah designed...

Our fun party turned out to be a great family time as we ended up going around and telling each other what we loved about one another. It was such a precious time. Looks like we started a new tradition! Our goal for each of us this year is to do something kind for someone daily!

Adventure week...

We didn't get out of school until December 22nd which means we didn't have to go back until January 8th. We were able to have the BEST adventure week packed with roller skating, painting ornaments, Tower of American, Doseum, Zoo, Doseum Take 2, Fiesta Texas all with friends. After this week, none of us wanted to go back to school! We are counting down the days until summer!

I had no idea how much the kids would love roller skating. The first 30 minutes was rough with lots of falls and tears {Micah}. But she didn't give up through her tears and by the end she didn't want to leave and had the best smile. She was even able to do it by herself ! This is our fun skating group.

 Painting our Christmas ornaments...

The one mom made with their fingerprints...
As much as I hate heights, I sucked it up for a fun adventure with the kids as we went to the Tower of Americas. It was SO high. I looked down the whole way up while the kids looked out the window and loved every minute of it!

I even went out on the balcony. I was nauseous the whole time! And Mason loved it so much.

It is hard to get a picture of the view and with people in it. At least we were all in one picture!

We were going to eat at the restaurant that rotates while you eat but we missed lunch.
So we had cotton candy for lunch. Ha!

Next up was the Doseum... one of their favorite places!

 Reagan's tower creation...
Day 3 was the zoo with the Nichols. What a perfect and fun day!

This was so cool! They didn't want to leave this area.

They even jumped on me as I was trying to take a picture of the kids.

After the zoo they wanted to go back to the Doseum. So glad we have a season pass. So worth it!

The adventure of the loose tooths...
Day 4 was Fiesta Texas... we saw some sweet friends as we were walking in and spent the day with them as they had never been to the park.

Mason has never wanted to ride this roller coaster but his friend did so they did it 3 times in a row. Crazy!

 The loose tooth adventure continues...
Adventure week ended with a party of one of Reagan's favorite friends Jack.
