Road Trip...

This weekend Mason took his first road trip to Austin, and he did such a great job. He slept all the way there and back, and even went to his first restaurant. He got to meet so much of my family this weekend, and had no problem being passed around to everyone. He is such a good baby, we are so blessed! Everyone said he was so tiny, and looked so much bigger in pictures. However, I think he is growing everyday. Here are a couple pictures from the weekend.

Family picture... Mason is always doing something with his hands! He usually looks like he is throwing gang signs.

Mason was passed out by the end of the night. He had such a long day. He is such a sweet boy!

Our new purchase...

This weekend we bought a video camera, and Craig has had so much fun capturing videos of Mason. We want to make sure our friends and family that live so far away don't miss anything. Here is a video of what we get to enjoy all the time.

Mason loves to eat...

This week Mason had his two week doctor's appointment. He weighed 8 lbs 10oz and left the hospital at 7 lbs. So needless to say, he likes to eat. He was in the 50% in height, weight, and head size. The doctor said everything looked great.

Today, we had to go get his two week screening where they prick his heel to draw some blood. He didn't like that much as he cried and pee'd all over the table. However, his unhappiness didn't last long.

Mason is still doing great. We trying to get into a routine, and just enjoying every minute with our sweet boy. Here are a couple of recent pictures. I hope to take some more in tomorrow or Friday.

Everyone says Mason looks so big in pictures, so hopefully this will give you a little perspective. He looks so tiny in his car seat. Once again, you have to love his expressions.

It was surprisingly cold this morning, but he looked so cute all bundled up!

How about his expression? I finally wanted a picture with our sweet boy, and this is the expression I get. This would be Mason giving us a dirty diaper!

2 Weeks Old...

Yesterday, Mason was two weeks old. Here are a couple of pictures I took of Mason on our favorite chair. He was sound asleep, but they are still adorable. Craig and I think he gets cuter everyday, but we are his parents so I guess we should think that!

Around the House...

Here are a couple of pictures of Mason around the house. Tonight we went on our first walk, and by the time we were done he was sound asleep. However, I think he will enjoy the outdoors when he is able to stay awake!

Mason playing with his daddy, and some of his many facial expressions!

Mason loves to get his hands out of his blanket.

Mason's first nap in his crib. He looks so small!

10 Days Old....

Today Mason is 10 days old. It is amazing how quickly time flies by. Mason and I are trying to figure out life by ourselves all day, but I am so blessed that he is such a good baby. People always ask if he cries, and the answer is only when we are changing his diaper and he wants to eat.

Mason loves to be all swaddled up, and if he can, tries to get a hand out so he can sleep with it by his face. He loves to eat, and snorts when he is really hungry. When he finishes eating he looks like he is drunk on milk. He makes the funniest faces, and my favorite is a huge smile when he is sleeping. ( I can't wait until he can do that on purpose!) He is getting used to not being held all day, eventhough he would much rather be sitting in someone's arms. He won't really burp, but he will blow up his diaper and it usually right after we change him. He will sleep through that as well. He is our precious gift from God!

Daddy can't get enough of his sweet little boy!

Mason in his bouncer for the first time. Yesterday, I had him in this and tried to get a cup of coffee. I looked around the corner to make sure he was OK, and he had spit up all over himself and was just sitting in it. Milk was even coming out of his nose, and he was just sitting there.

Mason sound asleep after eating.

Yesterday we had a package at the door, and it was a hand-made quilt for Mason to lay on the floor. Perfect timing as yesterday was my first day by myself, and he can't be held all day!
Craig's Aunt Cheryl who came by to meet Mason on Saturday.

Craig's cousin, Nikki.

Mason in his swing for the first time. He didn't really like it, as you can tell from the expression on his face.
Danee and Sarah who came by yesterday to help me out for a couple of hours. It was such a blessing, and I can't thank them enough. I was even able to run some errands and go to the grocery store. Thank you so much!

A Sweet Moment...

Sunday was our first day by ourselves with Mason. It had been a long day, and I was in the laundry room getting some clothes out of the dryer. Craig had Mason, as he had most of the day. He had Mason lying next to him in bed, and I heard him reading him a bible story about Adam and Eve. It was such a precious moment that I will never forget. I got my camera to steal a picture of this sweet moment.

Mason is such a blessed little boy as he has the best daddy in the world. Craig continues to do so much, and loves spending time with his little boy. On Sunday night, we were talking about how we wished Craig didn't have to go back to work, and he said his week at home with his newborn son was the greatest week of his life. Craig you are an amazing husband and father, and I don't know what I would do without you! Mason and I are so blessed!

Mason Update...

We have been home a couple of days and are enjoying every moment of it. Mason is such a good baby, who loves to be bundled up. I prayed and prayed that he would be a good eater and we wouldn't have problems feeding, and our little boy loves to eat. Yesterday we went to the doctor and he was already back to 7 lbs 6 oz, and he left the hospital 2 days earlier at 7 lbs.

He has also done great sleeping at night. Last night, he woke up every three hours almost to the minute ready to eat. I guess he will be like his mommy who loves to be on a schedule! However, it has just been a couple of nights so we will see.

Yesterday we went to the doctor and he said everything looked great. We are very blessed with a healthy little boy. He has to go back in two weeks for another appointment. Here are a couple of pictures at home. I think he changes everyday.

Daddy admiring his little guy.

If you come by to see Mason this is probably what he will look like. He loves to be swaddled and all bundled up. He is so cute!

Mason playing with daddy on his activity center. Mommy is still in too much pain to be able to get down on the floor.

Mason has not been put down since we have been home during the day. With both grandmother's here they can't get enough of him. This is Mason watching his first basketball game with his GiGi ( Chantel's mom). Craig's mom is called Grammie.

1st Photo Shoot...

We were able to come home yesterday (Monday) about 12. We have had a great first 2 days at home. Mason is such a good baby. He loves to sleep and eat like most babies do. We have been blessed to have both of our mom's here to help!

Today we had our first photo shoot. Of coarse, one of things I couldn't wait for was to take pictures of our sweet boy. He did so great! There are so many precious pictures. Here are a couple of my favorites...
