Stardust...

As for most people, January is my month for cleaning things out. I feel like there are things I just haven't cleaned out since we moved in and I was pregnant. One morning Micah was taking a nap and I was organizing a cabinet. Before I knew it, Mason was on the step ladder with flour all over the counter. It was one of those times where he had already made a mess, was having fun, so I just let him go with it. He said he was sprinkling stardust all over the floor. I didn't even know he knew what stardust was.

Other recent Mason sayings:
"Mommy have you seen my blanket? It is white with green and blue polka dots."... you mean the one I wash every two days because you stick it in your mouth all the time.

"Mommy have you seen the Q? It is orange, and has a circle with a little line on it."

One day he was in timeout for hitting Micah, and not paying attention to me as I was trying to talk to him. So I put my hands on his cheeks and said, "Mason look at my eyes. You do not hit Micah. Do you hear what I am saying?"... Later that night, Craig and Mason were playing and Craig said it was time to take a bath. Mason walked up to Craig, put his hands on his face, and said " Daddy look at my eyes. I am not going to take a bath yet. Do you hear what I am saying?"... Obviously he is not allowed to talk to us like that, but it was a moment I tried really hard not to laugh. Word for word what I had said earlier. I have no doubt this little boy will be smarter than me one day.

One of Micah's favorite things to do is watch Praise Babies. I just put some books and toys around her and she just loves it. Love those eyes...

Still no teeth yet so puffs, mum mums, and yogurt melts are the only finger foods we can eat, but she knows how to make a mess with her baby food.

Mason was trying to teach Micah to play Fruit Ninja... she just wanted to put the phone in her mouth.

This is a picture of the table Mason set. It is his new chore and he loves it. Mommy still takes the plates, but he gets everybody water, silverware, and napkins. Every night he asks me if he can help me make dinner and that it is his job to set the table.
