Parenting is such a learning process...and I have definitely learned a couple of things these last couple of weeks. When your 4 year old turns 4, that is all he talks about! I hear, "Did you know, 4 year olds....fill in the blank" multiple times a day. "Did you know 4 year olds can put on their own shoes?", "Did you know 4 year olds can give themselves a bath?", " Mom I am 4, and 4 year olds don't like watching Dora?"... You get the point! In addition to his 4 year old comments, this sweet boy says something daily that makes me laugh.
Last night, we were all on our bed, and Mason counted everyone ( all 5 of us), and said, " I think we need to go buy a baby boy. Let's go to the boy store and pick one out." Feeling a little out numbered maybe?
Other recent Mason quotes... and yes, they always start with "did you know..."
"Mom did you know if you don't exercise you get flat?"
"Mom did you know that if you make lots and lots of bad choices you go to this place called hotel and there is like a lot of fire there."
Mason was playing doctor and giving us all check ups. I said, "Mason we need to..." but before I finished he said, "It's Doctor Mason!"
On Tuesday, we went to the doctor. And after Mason used his doctor tools and checked our Dr. Henderson, Dr. Henderson said, "Mason do you have any questions?" He thought a minute, and said yes! "What would you do if you saw a monster?"... Where does this boy come up with these things?
I think Dr. Mason will be just fine without being able to buy a little brother. He sure does love his sisters! He told Micah the other day, "Micah you are so pretty. As precious as an angel!"
